Privacy Policy

This policy covers the IceSkatingCoach web platform and mobile app (iOS and Android), for every account role: athlete/student, coach, family, ice rink, and management.

Information we collect

• Account information - email address and password (managed by our authentication provider, AWS Cognito), and your account role.
• Training content you upload - drill videos, journal photos/videos, and journal text entries you or a linked coach add.
• Coaching data - session enrollment, coaching notes and evaluations, tasks, medals/achievements, and messages exchanged between a linked coach and student (or coach and ice rink).
• Payment information - session and subscription payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number; we retain only the payment status and amount.
• Push notification token (mobile app only) - if you allow notifications, we store a device token (issued by Apple/Google via Expo's push service) so we can alert you to new coaching notes, messages, and session updates.

How we use this information

To run the core product: authenticate you, show you and your linked coach/family the training content and coaching data relevant to your account, process session and subscription payments, and send you push and in-app notifications about activity relevant to you (a new coaching note, a message, a session change). Automated video labels may be used to draft a starting-point coaching note for a coach to edit - this never replaces a coach's own judgment.

Who we share it with

• Stripe - to process payments. See Stripe's own privacy policy.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) - our infrastructure provider; all account, training, and coaching data is stored in AWS (DynamoDB, S3).
• Expo - the mobile app's push notification relay. Expo receives only a device push token, never account or training content.

We never sell your data, and we never share your training or coaching data with anyone outside your own linked coach/family/ice rink relationships.

Your choices

• You can deny or later revoke push notification permission at any time in your device's notification settings.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.

Children's privacy

Many athletes on this platform are minors. A minor's account is created and managed by a parent/family account or by their coach/ice rink, consistent with how the platform's roles work; we do not knowingly collect data directly from a child outside of that relationship.
